In 2001, I got my first horse. He was a beautiful big palomino. The farm that sold him to us assured us he was perfect for a green rider, even told us to let our nine year old take him out on the trails. I came back and took him on a long trail ride and he was wonderful. My husband kept telling me something’s not right with this horse, but I was so blinded with his color, size and beauty and of course the excitement of owning my own horse, I ignored his excellent instincts.

I got him home and within two weeks he completely changed. We realize now he was drugged and very underfed, thus explaining how laid back he was. Around the third week he bucked me off and nearly killed me. I couldn’t walk for weeks, my spine was swollen and I was bruised all over. We tried to send him to professionals and even they said we had been severely lied to. The farm that sold him to us knew he was dangerous, but for the almighty dollar they were willing to risk my life.

After I healed physically, we began looking into the Rocky Mountain Horses. My husband and I quickly fell in love with this breed, they’re gentleness, surefootedness, willingness to please and their beauty. We bought our first "Rock" on Christmas of 2003. After only one week of having "Maverick", we decided to breed and try to help make sure that what happened to me didn’t happen to others. We would let the breed speak for themselves; and of course honesty on our part.

We did not start breeding to make a million dollars, we started so we could introduce these gentle, beautiful horses to individuals looking for a friend, companion and most of all a safe and level headed trail partner. We stand behind our horses 110%.

We’ve picked our mares and studs based on personalities, temperament and bloodlines. (After my bad experience, we always try to avoid buying because of color and size.)

Our babies are imprinted at birth and interacted with daily. We expose those little guys to everything; by the time they’re a year old they’ve seen it all. We have five children and feel safe letting them handle all our horses.

Most of all, through our farm, we hope to be able to witness to others about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his wonderful immeasurable love for us all. We invite all to our farm to see first hand the beautiful horses and to just get out and away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy God’s farm, not ours. We look forward to any opportunity to talk to others about the wonderful changes in our lives because of Jesus and love to hear other testimony’s and how Jesus has changed others’ lives.
